Of course! Your four legged companion can ride the cable car as a VIP passenger – free of charge. You may also bring your skis or bike – free of charge.

The Romsdalen Cable Car is fully accessible and specially adapted for wheelchair users. The fjord station itself is built into the ground, so you can get straight from street level and into the cable car cabin, completely without stairs, elevator or other challenges. The same applies to the mountain station, where Eggen Restaurant is located on the same level. Eggen Restaurant also has an HC toilet with plenty of space.
In addition, we have built a universal ramp of approx. 200 meters which means that you get all the way to the top of Nesaksla with a wheelchair.

Romsdalsgondolen runs every full and half hour within the opening hours. If there is a queue or large groups, the cable car runs continuously at intervals of approx. 8 minutes.

Groups of more than 10 people are asked to contact booking@romsdalen.no.

You can take Romsdalsgondolen to Nesaksla and follow the path down for approx. 15 minutes. You can also walk from Åndalsnes City Centre and follow the path up for approx. 1.5 hours. Once you have arrived at Rampestreken, you can walk an extra 15 minutes up to the mountain station, and head back down by the cable car.
You can also go to Rampestreken in the winter, but it is recommended to wear good spikes or crampons.

Each cable car cabin is designed to carry 45 people plus one driver. For the best possible experience, we have chosen to drive a maximum of 35 people in each cabin.

It is not possible to cancel cable car tickets. If you do not have the opportunity to use it yourself, you can give it to a friend, as tickets are not linked to the person (with the exception of annual passes and day passes) and are valid for a long period of time. There is a ticket machine at the Romsdalsgondolen mountain station. There is no serviced ticket office, but our staff is on hand to assist you if you need it.

The route to Romsdalseggen begins in Vengedalen in Isfjorden, and ends at Romsdalsgondolen top station where you can take the cable car down. It is not recommended to walk the opposite way due to the narrow path.
